The majority are like my Parents.Good People doing what they think is theyre best.Yes its a silly religion and some of the Teachings are down right ridiculous.Yestheres too much "us and them"of course, but they dont really harm anyone. To say they are evil is ridiculous. The majority of Witnesses ive known(and maybe on this forum?)entered the Religion with Eyes wide open,so i never really understand the hate directed towards them.

More young people being expelled than older?
by Joker10 inthis question can really just go to anybody.
in your congregatoin, how many of the ones desfellowshipped were young people?
in jcs, how many were in their early 20's or younger?

Kls
Why the vitriol? It sounds like a sensible, interesting question to me.
In my old Cong the majority of disfellowshippings were definitely the over 30,s!But there werent many in my Years of association..maybe 7-8.

DON'T HONOR THE DEAD----IT'S DEMONIC
by Mary inwell i got a threatening visit "shepperding call" from a couple of local elders last night.
seems "someone" saw me with a poppy on my coat yesterday, which of course is a big no-no.
they wanted to ask me about this in person.

These men were Fools(Bro idiot etc). Its not even honoring the Dead so much as appreciating and respecting the sacrifices made .I wore one with Pride this Week for the first time.I was also in a large Tesco Petrol Station at 11:00 and was pleasantly surprised how everyone stood still and silent for 2 Minutes.
I even did a thread on wearing a poppy...but no-one replied

Wearing my Poppy with Pride......
by fleaman uk in.
well, tomorrow is the eleventh day of the eleventh month.for the first time in my life, this week,i have worn a poppy with great pride.i cant believe i havent done it before.. the sacrifices made for me in the past, have a deep meaning to me now i am outside a religion that, in the main, sneers at appreciating the sacrifices made by previous generations.. one can certainly appreciate events/commemorations like this when outside a controlled/enclosed environment.

by ezekiel3 infrom awake!
november 22, 2004 "watching the world" pg 29:.
"two long-awaited studies have found that the [u.s.] roman catholic church suffered an epidemic of child sexual abuse that involved at least 4 percent of priests over 52 years and peaked with the ordination class of 1970, in which one of every 10 priests was eventually accused of abuse," reports the new york times.

As you probably know, Service Department can't stand Writing Department: they consider them a bunch of left-wing 'softies' without the backbone to manage a mutinational
corporation, errrrm, organisation.By the same token, Writing can't stand Service, viewing them as a bunch of hard-line Pharisees who wouldn't know the "love of the Christ" if it slapped them in the face. Writing are as concerned about the child abuse situation as many of us are (after all, it's not any of their guys in the dock, the whole mess is Service's baby
Eh?Where on Earth did you find this out?Political in-fighting in Brooklyn?I find it hard to believe.

Are any of you watching world news tonight?
by WildHorses inthey are talking about the arctic and how 4000 acres of ice are now gone, melted.
they showed a polor bear swimming and said they have nowhere to go and no food because the fish are moving on to find colder water.
global warming at it's finest.

sorry, dont wish to be pedantic. You mean the Arctic i think.Imagine how much worse it will be up there when Bush really starts to mine Alaska and surrounding areas!
